Stripped of all
your beautiful leaves,
open and bare to wind and rain,
a sheer silhouette
against the cold winter sky,
nothing to hide your naked shape,
you tremble in the wind,
you bask in the sun,
you feel the elements as they come.
Deprived of the layers
you put on display,
your armour removed,
I see you, raw in your essence,
beauty revealed,
frailty as strength exposed.
