Beautiful Blue

 

 

Hello, Blue Sky,
you beautiful thing,
so bright and lovely,
you make my heart sing! 

Whenever I see you,
I breathe deep and sigh,
I smile and I kiss
my worries good bye.

I love how you contrast
the green of the trees,
the bright coloured flowers,
the sweet buzzing bees.

You offer me space,
the feeling I’m free,
the freedom to breathe,
to smile and just be, 

happy at the start of day
and in the middle, too.
And when the day is closing,
you fade to a dark blue. 

Thank you for the gift of dreaming,
both by day and night,
reminding me that
everything will be alright.
