Judgement Call

 

I'm going to make a judgement call

that we stop condemning all.

 

For who are we to play the judge,
to criticize and hold a grudge?

 

What wisdom do you think you bear

when, for my pain you do not care? 

 

If we don't walk in each other's shoes,

no one wins, we both shall lose.

 

It is I who plays the fool

when I forget 'The Golden Rule'.

 

I look at you 

as you look at me.

 

And in the paths we do not take,
on the roads we do not go,

 

in the people we don't see
and the faces we don't know

 

a world awaits before us
to build deeper connections, 

 

to see the truth within,
that we are all reflections.

 

If I can reflect you
and you can reflect me,

then we can show the love
and the beauty that we see.
